Vintage Safety Glasses Wilson Style 119B Eyewear Round Lenses early 1900's

Description: Brass safety glasses by Wilson. Online references identify these as Wilson Style 119B. These sometimes have metal or leather shields on the sides. Round lenses are held in place by horizontal grips - these lenses appear to float freely within the wire frame. Brass gives these a gold-tone color. I have no idea as to age, although these are quite old. Early 1900's for sure. No case. I believe these are circa 1920's. Thomas A. Willson was the World’s preeminent maker of safety eyewear in the early 20th Century. Gile J. Willson and his son Dr. Thomas A. Willson founded the company in 1871 to manufacture optical glass. As American industry burgeoned the company began making safety eyewear. Eventually the company produced a wide variety of products ranging from oxygen masks to fashion sunglasses. Glasses Dimensions: Temple length: 5-3/8" Width: 4-5/8" Bridge: 0.5” at nose Lens: 1.75" Diameter Condition: Excellent condition. Right lens has tiniest of flea bites in the approx. 8 o'clock position (when you are looking out of them). Temples are constructed to swing 180 degrees. No metal damage such as bends, corrosion, or mentionable issues. No case. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
