Description: Awesome,vintage (45 year old) hand carved replica of an actual mid-19th century Iroquois (Seneca) ball headed war-club. All hardwood construction, walnut . Ball is a hand carved effigy of a haunting, tattooed, Seneca Warrior. Ball is approx 3.5 inches in diameter.It is crowned with a white, red stained, horse hair Roach Headdress. The Roach spreader is copper.A long horse hair dangle is attached with brass wire coiled loop. Club handle is further decorated with 30 (15 per side) inlaid copper discs. Cordage and drops are all twisted or braided horse hair.Overall length of war-club approx. 23.5 inches, weight is approx 1lb 4oz. Finish is somewhat faded and patina-ed due to age and light exposure. would make an excellent addition to any Eastern woodland Indian collection.
