Description: Perhaps you would prefer an individualistic, artistically meritorious oriental rug weaving for your home. If so, this rare, vintage, 3' 7" x 5' 1" "sampler/wagireh", hand knottedin the northwestern region of Persia, remains in exceptional condition. Samplers, also known as wagirehs, were small, hand knotted rugs that served as a template for larger carpets. They depicted an assortment of dyes and designs that could beused for a larger rug by the actual weaver, or by a retail oriental shop to show clients the colors and motifs that could be ordered. They were never massed produced for sale, and are rare weavings. No holes, tears, dry rotted areas, stains, moth damages, dye runs or odors. The original side and end finishes remain intact. There is a small, approximately 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" repair area near the right sideof the weaving, as seen in the close-up photos. 30 Day Returns Policy Complimentary Shipping includes full insurance for the value of the final purchase price, plus proof of delivery tracking number, throughout the continental United States.
