Description: When tested this answering machine with power on, and appears to be operational. There is some static in the volume knob that is easy enough to work with if you do not want to clean the potentiometer. Both the incoming and outgoing cassettes spin freely but played back the audio is faint. This could be because these cassettes have been erased and recorded over so many times, or a head cleaning... I have not troubleshot these issues and that is the reason this unit is being sold parts and repair, as is. Cosmetically it is in good condition for its vintage and very presentable.
