Description: Here is a set of 28 quilt blocks in the Sheepfold pattern, #2020 as shown in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns compiled by Barbara Brackman. Pattern is categorized as an Unequal Nine Patch with large center square and unpieced corners. Pattern was printed in the Kansas City Star dated 1931. Design is also known as A Plain Block. Each block measures approximately 5 1/4" square and is hand pieced. Fabrics are cotton generally from the late 1800s to early 1900s including shirting prints, indigo and wovens. There is some brown spotting present especially on the lighter color fabrics. All of the blocks are pictured.
