We list photos that might have creases, photo album page residue on back, or other even tape to "rescue" the photo from landfills - photos that have the ravishes of time, age wear from tears to creases to repair - issues that are sort of equivalent to the patina of antique furniture, it happens only with years of handling. Photos that survive decades of wear and still retain their integrity or power are my favorite photos - examples would be those that have multiple pin-holes that occur only from taking down to view and pinning back multiple times - also those that spent their life time in wallets - the wallets didn't survive, but the photo did. It is always my hope that photos purchased carry meaning and affect collectors, but also are framed and displayed. Their is a Vivian Maier video on the Internet "Vivian Maier Slide Show" by nick of London that shows a not so orthodoxed way of framing photos, but still a great refreshing way to frame and display vintage black and white photographs. A great way to appreciate vintage photos is to use your phone flashlight or any strong flash light and a magnifying glass - the extra detail afforded is outstanding. I am also a vintage photograph collector - I am always acquiring vintage photo collections hoping to add to my collection those that pique my interest - other photos in collections I acquire make their way to eBay with hopes that they will pique others' interests. I price my photos based on the eBay market - well aware of the "it's worth as much as somebody is willing to pay for it" mantra. I also price based on demand and how easy or difficult it will be to replace the photo, not at same price it sold for, but on image strength which sometimes is impossible due to the one-of-a-kind status of vintage photos - there might be variants, but ultra rarely the same photo.
