Description: This is being sold as intended for minor repair. In great condition cosmetically but missing the battery cover. No visible signs of damage, and the battery compartment looks clean and ‘normal’, but I haven’t tested the battery compartment. It does come with the AC power cord so you can play with it right away and figure it out. This cool little portable was a big hit in the 1970’s, because it can also record you. Hold it up to the radio and record a song! 😁 Anyway, here’s what’s going on with this player. It plays, FF, and REW’s , but the sound is the issue. There’s something with the volume knob. To get sound you have to press a certain way on the knob and hold it and hope it stays, but that’s it, and at that it’s a low volume. Definitely needs to be looked at for it to work right. Maybe minor, I don’t know. But it does work, you just can’t listen to anything. Record feature works also, but the same situation trying to hear what you recorded. Low volume, muffled, but it’s there… So that’s it. You’re buying a player that needs a little work, but is in really nice condition (not counting the battery cover). lol Just having it for shelf art, or display is always an option with such a cool little portable from the 70’s.
