Description: For sale a WPA type industrial machine age worker painting from around 1935. Frame measures 20" x 15" & the painting measures 15 1/2" x 11 1/2". It is in very good condition one small touch up to the upper right, that is hard to see. Frame is very old, worn condition. The painting is on board & has WPA stamped on the back showing through the cardboard backing. (I removed the cardboard backing, only WPA is stenciled or stamped on the back. Some one suggested this could have been added later, but this is the way I bought it from a country auction.) It is unsigned & I know nothing about the work, other than it is cool.
