ABOUT THE BARCLAY COMPANYBarclay Manufacturing Company, founded in 1924 in West Hoboken, New Jersey, became the largest manufacturer of toy soldiers and lead figurines in the United States in the late 1930s through early 1940s. Many of the figures, made from antimonial lead, were originally sold for a nickel apiece prior to World War II. SADLY, they closed up shop in 1971 due to the intense commercial pressure from plastic figurines. Measurements are approximate2.25" tall x 1" wide x 0.75" long. Most items in antique, vintage &/or used condition may have been stored. Therefore please expect items to need general cleaning and/or freshening. Any defect I see will be noted in listing, however human error happens so if I overlook something or make an error in the listing please let me know.
