Vintage LARGE VICTORIAN Park Fair Balloons FRAMED Royal Blue Primary Colors

Description: This colorful needlework picture is a wonderful and unusual eye-catching piece of art. It was meticulously stitched from a kit, distributed by "Needlepoint Workshop Inc.", date unknown. This is a completed, custom-framed edition. It features a Victorian-era street fair scene, complete with a balloon vendor, popcorn stand, and a pavilion / bandstand of some sort. A small child is buying a bag of popcorn and his father is digging in his pocket for change while mom looks on with her pink parasol. The picture is matted with a fabulous cobalt-blue velvet border that really highlights the great primary colors in the piece. The frame is beautiful - it is wide solid wood with a very ornate inner edge, all stained in an antique gold. I don't know the exact age, but would guess it was done in the 70's - early 80's based on the bright color scheme. The framed picture measures about 19 7/8 inches in height and is approximately 21 7/8 inches wide (framed), so it's medium-large sized needlepoint piece. There is a kit name, "Needlepoint Workshop Inc - 9C" showing on the border of the canvas on the back of the picture. It was meticulously stitched and much care and expense put into the high quality frame - it is just perfect. The picture is in very good vintage condition. The frame has some minor nicks & scuffs from wear, consistent with age, but looks really good. The velvet matte is also generally in good condition - it does have a few scuffs (they are not terribly noticeable, but they are there); there is no fading or stains. The needlework picture is in wonderful condition - no loose thread, fading, stains, or holes. The mounting is very secure and the hanging bracket is intact. See photos for more details.
