Description: Vintage Large Rosenthal Bird Heron Crane Signed M. H. FRITZ #964 This is an exquisite vintage, large porcelain Heron Figurine made by Rosenthal in Germany, and signed on the bottom M. H. FRITZ, for Max Hermann Fritz (1873 – 1948), the designer of this magnificent piece. The model number 964 is embossed on the bottom of the base. The Rosenthal company was founded in 1879, and the printed mark on the bottom is from 1969 - 1981. This large Heron is hand painted in soft lavender pinks, greys, and greens, on creamy white with black accents. The graceful position of the neck along with the soft hand-painted colors present a very dignified representation of this tropical bird. Dimensions: 8.375” W x 4” D x 12.25” H Please ignore any light reflections in the photos. Additional photos upon request. This elegant Heron is in excellent pre-owned condition. There are 2 miniscule fleabites on two fronds of the grasses, which are barely noticeable and only mentioned for full disclosure (see Photo #9).
