Description: I am 87 years old and downsizing a lot of my collectibles. This is a beautiful Vintage hand-carved elephant, it use to belong to my older sister who gave to me many years ago. An elephant’s trunk in an upward direction represents luck, strength, wisdom, power and longevity! This must be true since I lived a long and healthy life The elephant measures approx. 9" H x 7" L x 4" W. The white nails on feet are carved with white inserts. I seem to believe (not for sure, (I am not an authority) that the toe-nails and horns on elephant may be Ivory. 3 of the toe-nail inserts are missing (see last two pictures.
