Bracelet adjustments available free of charge on request for purchased watches. Here we have an absolutely gorgeous ladies' vintage timepiece from Rotary. This is the Rotary 4578, which features a beautiful enamel white dial with gold-tone hands and applied hour markers. Covering the dial is a flat mineral glass crystal housed in a gold-tone, diamond encrusted case with a petite 19mm diameter. The matching diamond encrusted bracelet is integrated into the case and features a fold over clasp. Condition: Excellent! no wear to the plating, but there are little diamonds missing, which is very hard to notice at first glance due to the small size of the watch. This timepiece has been refurbished and has received the following work: • Stripped down - movement, dial, crown & stem, bracelet removed for case and bracelet cleaning. • Case, case back, crown, stem and bracelet cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. • New Renata 364 battery • New case back gasket • Case back gasket and crown O-ring silicone greased for optimum water-resistance. What does it mean to buy a refurbished watch? We buy pre-owned, vintage, and new/old stock watches that may be looking a little bit sorry for themselves. Watches we purchase for refurbishment have often been left in a drawer, some are unwanted gifts, or simply forgotten about when someone buys a new watch. We take those watches and give them a second life... it’s also an excellent way to recycle. First and foremost this means stripping the watch down to remove the movement and dial so the following work can be done – ULTRASONIC CLEANING: The watch case, the case back, bracelet, setting stem, and crown are thoroughly cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. Nylon straps are also cleaned this way.More delicate plastic parts will be cleaned by hand to prevent damage. BATTERY REPLACEMENT: Battery-powered watches are fitted with a new, premium cell(s) (we use Renata, Panasonic, Rayovac, Murata, and Maxell). CRYSTAL POLISH OR REPLACEMENT: Once the watch case has been cleaned the crystal (watch face) can be replaced if it is deemed too scratched or damaged (for both mineral and acrylic glass crystals), or polished if they are acrylic plastic crystals. POLISHING: Stainless steel cases, case backs, and bracelets may be given a light polish, and re-brushing where required. Cases that are plated cannot always be safely polished due to the risk of removing too much plating. In some cases, we will use a low-cut, filler-glaze, and wax-based polish to help improve and protect scuffed plating. Bracelets and claps with a brushed finish will be re-brushed after polishing. MOVEMENT REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT: If a watch arrives with a faulty quartz battery-powered movement or module it will either be replaced with a new or reconditioned item or repaired with new or used parts (this will always be mentioned in the listing description). If a quartz movement is working it will be placed back into the watch on reassembly - this is the case 95% of the time.Mechanical movements will be inspected for obvious signs of issues and checked using a timegrapher to ensure they are at least fit for sale and operating as they should be. GASKETS AND O-RINGS: Upon reassembly the case back gasket will practically always be replaced with a new one unless the original is of a special design, or still in satisfactory condition. The new or old gasket will always be greased with silicone grease to ensure the best possible water resistance, and to protect the seal from mechanical damage when refitting. The winding/setting stem/ crown tube or pusher o-ring(s) will be replaced if necessary and re-greased as above. If a watch is fitted with additional pushers these will be removed and the same process is applied. FINISHING TOUCHES: The icing on the cake is a new leather, nylon, or steel strap to finish the refurbishment. **Refurbishment does NOT include major in-depth restoration or servicing of quartz or mechanical movements.
