Description: The 1947-1950 Kodak Duaflex is a box camera for 620 roll film that has a large waist-level viewfinder. It is a pseudo twin-lens reflex camera in that the top lens is for viewing only, not focusing. The 72mm Kodar lens is zone focus with three f-stop choices. The 'L" on thr lens indicates that it is "Luminized", a Kodak trademarked term for a lens coating. Kodak made a series of Duaflexes, II, III, and IV, finally ending the line in 1960. I owned and used a Duaflex IV as a child. The camera is in decent shape. The shutter appears to work well and the taking lens appear pretty clean. The viewing lens has some pitting but does not affect performance. The flash detaches for non-flash photography. It takes two C-cell batteries and #5 or #25 flash bulbs (neither are included). The battery compartment is very clean and without and damage or deterioration. The original strap is attached and there is a take-up spool in the camera. The difference between 620 and 120 film (still available) is the size of the spool core. 120 film can be used with some adaptation to the paper backing. Whether you want to shoot with this or as a nice piece of photographic history from the USA's most storied photographic company, it is a nice item to own. Ships via USPS Priority Mail.
