Description: Maiogi Dance Fan Design: This antique fan was made by Wakaba わかば of Tokyo for performance by members of a Buyo dance school. This fan is streaks of gold and amber tones. It has natural lacqured bamboo struts and lead weights. It comes in its original Kiri (paulownia) wood box. It measures 20” or 51cm from tip to tip when open and is 11½” or about 29cm long when closed. Superior quality, this would be perfect for performances or for display… Condition: This fan is structurally sound but has been well used with scuffs, bends and minor tears and has a vintage patina form storage over time. The kiri wood box is in excellent condition: see photos. Their condition has be carefully taken into consideration in the price so please see photos for details.
