Description: VINTAGE ILLINOIS WATCH CO MENS 14K GOLD FILLED WRIST WATCH 15 JEWELS RARE UNUSUAL Placement for Second Hand at 9:00 Illionois Watch Company closed in 1927 according to my research. This is a scarce watch. Serial Number: 4749448 According to the POCKET WATCH DATABASE (this is NOT a Pocket Watch), this movement may be a 1926 movement based on its serial number. Serial Number is also listed on this link as 1925-1926 http://www.pocketwatchrepair.com/histories/illinois.html Also Numbered: 0114 on Case that movement goes in (NOT the back of the Case) in a very unusual spot. Case Marked: Fahys BRISTOL GOLD FILLED 14K 6/0-1 980114. Handwritten on case are some dates 3/4/39, 1/23/40, 6/25/45, 4/27/47 with other numbers and letters (see photo). *Prices at the Post Office have gone up! Please see comments regarding Shipping Prices below. Measures approximately: 1.30" long from end of Lug to end of Lug Condition: Not Working. Photos with and without flash to capture as much detail as possible. Dial is very dirty. Some of what looks like Gold coloring/plating is worn off the numbers on the Dial. Case is scratched with a ding or two. Missing other half of band. Watch has NOT been cleaned. Like all Antiques, will need cleaning and/or servicing.
