Vintage Harley Owners Group 1985 'Unnotched' Member Rocker Patch

Description: New Vintage Harley Owners Group 'Unnotched' 1985 Member Rocker Patch. There are three different versions of this patch. If you were a member in good standing from 1983, you were awarded this unnotched (or 'wing') version of this patch. If you started in 1984, you were awarded the 'notched' version. And then there is the replacement patch. I've attached a reference picture of all three for your review but, this auction is ONLY for the vintage 'unnotched' version of this patch. This patch is brand new and authentic as can be seen by the 'white' webbed backing on the patch. NOTE: When you first joined HOG, you were awarded the iconic Eagle 'header' patch/pin (and these have changed over the years - earlier versions are still available). In subsequent years of membership, you received new patches/pins for each year of membership. So, if you joined in 1983 (the first year of HOG) you were awarded the 1984 'notched'/1985 'unnotched' pins/patches if you were still in good standing during those years. If you joined in 1984, you were awarded the 'Eagle header' pin/patch that year and, if still in good standing in 1985, awarded the 'notched' version of the pin/patch. The 'notch' was to fit under the 'Eagle header' patch. Replacement patches were provided to active members who lost theirs over the years. HOG started doing 'unnotched' pins/patches starting in 1990 so the earlier 'notched' versions are harder to find. Another way to determine if the patch is original (and not a replacement) is that virtually all of the original (1984 through 1989) patches had a white backing Check my feedback and bid with confidence!
