Description: Vintage Handmade Mexican Mid Century MODERNIST Aztec Calendar Pendant Pin/Brooch A fabulous Mid-Century Modernist Mexican pendant brooch in the theme of the Aztec Calendar stone on exhibit at the Museum of Anthropology and History in Mexico City, CDMX. The image on the circular face is achieved by bright hand engraved cuts on a blued background. This piece came from the estate of long time collector of Mexican jewelry. This theme is a reflection of the homage to the pre-columbian art of Mexico. There is a pendant bale on the reverse along with an older brooch pin back which dates the piece. Hallmarked on the reverse "Made in Mexico 925". "925" on the reverse is for sterling silver metal fineness. Please see extensive photos.
