The bit is in well maintained condition with some surface oxidation and without any damage to the conchos. The shanks measure 7 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 2.8 to 1 leverage ratio. The monel mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 3/8 inches in diameter. The half breed style port is 2-1/8 inch tall by 1 inche wide. This heavy bit weighs in at 1 pound 8 ounces and demonstrates great balance. This great vintage German silver California Vaquero style bit will make a great addition to your bit collection and you might even find that your horse likes it too!
