Description: Offered is this vintage green or greenish General Electric GE portable television. I could not find an obvious model # on it. I did not attempt to plug it in yet. About two years ago or so, I had a new old stock vintage Sony tv and the guy who ended up buying it told me that if it hadn't been used in a long time, not to turn it on until someone "went through it" and capped this and checked that. So, unless a serious buyer tells me otherwise, I won't plug it in. I'm not looking for a novices opinion, I'm looking for someone to say, if it powers on, I'll buy it for X amount of dollars. It does have an antenna as shown, but it pulls completely out of the antenna hole, also as shown. The tv isn't filthy, but it came from an old mans back bedroom at a local estate auction and could use a cleaning and going over. Not sure of the date, but I'd say 60's or maybe 70's. CLEARLY SAYS GENERAL ELECTRIC, BUT AFTER DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH, I COULD FIND ONE LIKE IT ANYWHERE THAT HAS THE KNOBS ON TOP. THE GUY WAS A ENGINEER FOR GENERAL ELECTRIC AT ONE POINT, SO IT CROSSED MY MIND THAT IT MIGHT BE A PROTOTYPE THAT NEVER WENT INTO PRODUCTION. I'M NOT SAYING THAT IT IS, IM JUST SAYING IT OCCURRED TO ME, WHEN I COULDN'T FIND ONE EXACTLY LIKE IT ON THE NET. 24 PICTURES POSTED!
