The frame measures approximately 18 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. The canvas is smaller, at about 12 inches by 16 inches. Unpacked, this piece weighs 3 pounds 8.3 ounces. Identification This painting is by the listed California artist, Ann Rugh Baker (1930-1998), also known as Mrs. B. Per askART, the artist was born in San Francisco. She moved to the Monterey Peninsula and was married to fellow artist Eugene Ames Baker. She studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. A resident of Carmel Valley, she was a member of the Carmel Art Association. Mrs. B. had one man shows at the Carmel Art Association (1972), the Castle Gallery in Santa Cruz, and the Habitat Gallery in San Francisco. She also participated in shows at the Lodi Grape Festival and the Monterey County Fair. The painting has a partial gallery label verso from Miner's Gallery Americana of Carmel, California. There is another label with the painting's number and title, "#945 THE AMISH FAMILY REUNION." The frame has stamped markings which indicate that it was made in Mexico. Condition This piece looks very good overall, as shown. There are a few tiny, white wall paint specks on the painting's surface, but the canvas is undamaged and there is no missing paint. There is minor wear to the original frame, including small chips and dings, and scattered tiny white wall paint specks. The back side is as shown.
