Description: This auction is for a wonderful vintage Fleischmann 135/2 live steam plant. This German manufactured steam plant is the largest Fleischmann made. I’ve read various opinions on the manufacture date which seems to be 1959-69. They came in a few colors with the bases being blue, green.gray and Tiel. Also the engines and cast base came in brown, blue and red. The plant is in beautiful original condition. It was definitely steamed but I suspect not many times. I tested it on compressed air and it runs but appears the tube feeding the steam chest from the boiler is partially clogged. This engine sat for many years in the previous owners collection and I own it about two years. I’m selling some of my larger steam engines to make room. Plant features a whistle, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, throttle control, sight glass, boiler blow down valve, flyball governor, cylinder oiler, cross head oiler, eccentric oiler and bearing cap oilers. The smoke stack is removable and it uses a three wick meths burner which is original and present. The paint is beautiful all around. Some paint loss at the sides of the fire box vents which is normal, The dimensions of this plant are as follows: 16.5” wide x 14.25” deep x 17” high (top of stack) Flywheel is 5” in diameter Weight is about 12 Lbs NOTE: This plant is large and heavy.
