Description: I have a vintage bridge pickup from a 1970's Fender Telecaster. It has a dark grey top,a light grey bottom and the coil is wrapped with black cotton string.I have owned this pickup since 1985 when I purchased a used 50's Tele that had this pickup in the bridge position. I have held on to this for a very long time but I no longer need it and I hope it finds a good home. This pickup has a date code but I can't quite make it out.I think the last two numbers read "76" or "78" or maybe "70" or "73"? I really can't decipher the code.I have provided some pictures of the date code.Maybe someone out there can help me figure it out (I would be much obliged). It looks very old because it is and I can tell you I gigged with it a lot for many years. This pickup reads 6.45k on my meter.I believe it is original and has never been rewound. As you can see,the leads were cut short and have since been extended by me years ago to make installation a little easier.I believe a good tech could remove the extensions and make it fit a 70's Tele. I had this pickup wax potted years ago to stop it from squealing when playing in front of a loud amp. This pickup sounded really sweet back in the 80's and 90's when I was using it just about every night.I think whoever buys it will agree that it sounds fantastic. This comes as shown.I don't have the original mounting screws but any Fender US thread screws will fit. This will be pro packed and I guarantee safe arrival. Please see my other items! Thanks!
