Description: VINTAGE EARLY AMERICAN FARRIER'S KNIFE, TOOL. This piece of Americana is 9" in total with a 4.25 blade. It is a farrier's knife, a tool used by blacksmiths for treating horse hooves. The 1/2 (almost 1/3) tang is held by 2 small pins. The blade is very rusty, as you see in the photos and is still solid in the simple wood handle. If there was a maker's mark on the blade it is no longer visible. I estimate this age of this piece as early to mid 1800s. As usual, I offer a no-questions asked 60-day return policy. If you don't like an item for any reason, just send it back within 60 days of receipt for a full refund. FREE SHIPPING in the U.S. Sorry, no international shipping on this one.
