Description: Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing hostess set of Craftsman China (#438) amoeba-shaped saucers and accompanying handled cups. Circa '50s / '60s. There is service for twelve in this set - that's 24 pieces (12 plates and 12 saucers)! The ceramic plates are amoeba-shaped, and they are tan and white with horizontal stripes, and a periwinkle and blue colored leafy flower in the lower left-hand corner. The handled cups are the same color scheme and theme (see photos). The underside of each of the pieces is marked: Hand Craft Craftsman China 438 Japan (again, see photos). They'll make a fantastic addition to any modern interior setting. Measurements: The plates are stackable. Each measures approx. 10.75" wide x 7.5" tall. Each of the twelve handled cups measures approx. 5" wide (measured from the back of the handle to the edge of the opposite facing rim) x 4" deep x 2" tall. Condition: All twelve plates and all twelve cups are in great shape - there do not appear to be any chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. They've been very well cared for by their previous owners, and now they're ready for a new home!
