Description: Original condition Facom ratchet in 1/2" drive, made in France. 36-tooth ratchet head is in good condition. The pawl is in good condition as well and the ratchet is functional - it held up to around 120ft/lbs of torque and could probably exceed that. Some of the points on the ratchet head look a bit flat/worn, but it functions very well. Ratchet was disassembled, lightly cleaned, reassembled, and sparingly lubricated with a few drops of 30W oil. No other work was done to the ratchet. The handle reads "FACOM VANACHROME S.150" which notes the vanadium chrome coating. Opposite side notes "Brevete S.G.D.G." (sans garantie du gouvernement) which translates to: "Patented. Without Guarentee of the Government". There is a small "56" after. I am unsure if that is the year of manufacture, or some other designation. The ratchet measures 9-7/8” long, 1-11/16” wide at the head, and a total height of 1-5/16". The handle tapers to 9/32” thickness (just over 1/4”). A nice vintage ratchet for the collection that you do not see often. Free shipping via USPS. Thank you for looking!
