Description: For sale is a fine Chinese Suzhou Su double-side embroidery table screen with cranes. The piece with stand is 12 ½ inches wide by 12 ¼ inches tall. The framed rectangular panel is 10 ½ inches wide by 8 1/8 inches tall. The piece shows two cranes on a pine branch, embroidered on a green ground, with a red seal mark in one corner. It is sandwiched between 2 sheets of glass in a dark wood, probably rosewood, frame. The stand is nicely carved. Condition on the piece is fairly good. The top frame corners are slightly pulled apart from shrinkage, and there is light wear from handling. A beautiful piece.
