Vintage Case XX USA 7 Dot 1983 6249 Copperhead Appaloosa Bovine Bone MINT & Box

Description: This is a vintage Case 6249 “Copperhead” pattern pocket knife. The tang stamp is CASE XX USA 7 dot 1983 "lightning S".The knife is 4” closed with brass liners and pins.The blade steel is CV (carbon) steel.Both blades have strong snap with half stops.Both blades are tight with no side-to-side wobble. The genuine jigged bovine bone handles have no cracks or chips.A mint knife – never used, carried, or sharpened. Original factory blade finish and edges.The clip blade has an etch - WESTMORELAND VIRGINIA OPERATIONS.The clip blade has a couple of microscopic specks.Included is a vintage Case “pumpkin” box that originally held six of the 6249 pattern.The handles on this knife were crafted from South American Zebu cattle shin bone. Genus/Species - Bos indicus or Bos taurus indicus.
