Vintage Bieff & Herrera 2Pc. Silk Paillette Strapless Blouson & Jacket, Sz. M

Description: From the early 1970's by Couture Designers Neil Bieff & Arturo Herrera is this gorgeous matching strapless blouson and jacket set designed of 100% silk and brilliant paillettes. Handmade in India and sized, Medium, today's equivalent will easily fit sizes regular 8 - 10 based on its' softly constructed design. Both pieces are of black silk chiffon and covered with Aurora Borealis multi-color paillettes. The perfectly placed groupings of paillettes form a "feather or leaf" design, and are scattered in shades of turquoise, red, pink, yellow and purple. There are no missing paillettes that I can see. The strapless, elasticized blouson top has one back top hook and "thread eye". The remainder of the back is open. The bust area varies from approximately 34" to 38". A "couture" detail is the 18" long, black silk chiffon sheer fabric attached to the blouson top which should be tucked into your pants or skirt in order to keep the "bloused" top in neatly in place. The matching Bolero Style Jacket has the same paillette design elements and colors as the top. Lying flat, the short jacket measures 15" from the neck to the jacket bottom; 19" across from armpit to armpit; the jacket front measures 22" from shoulder top to end of sleeve ( not meant to be a "full" length sleeve ) ; 16" from armpit to end of sleeve.
