Description: Vintage very beautiful and complete Asian, Chinese, ?, chess set with folding board includes draws. The board has colorful etching in the white 1 3/4” squares. All 32 chess pieces are in very good condition and I am not sure what they are made from. They appear hand carved, could be resin possibly soap stone as they are cool to the touch and feel chalky/waxy. Not sure? The white elastic in the drawer’s is stretched. case. Felt bottoms. Not to sure but I believe this set is unique just due to its design. The kings measures approximately 4”, queens -3 3/4”, bishop 3 1/2” knights 3 3/8” and rooks 2 5/16” and ponds 2 3/4”. The open board case measures 19” x 19” and 2 5/8” tall. With the board closed it measures 19” x 10” x 5 1/4”. The case is exceptionally nice as well as the chess pieces. Weighs over 10”.
