Measuring just under 8 inches in height and 9" long, this medium-sized dish is made of high-quality ceramic with a glossy & semi-glossy mixed hand-painted finish to highlight its fine mold detail. I do not believe this to be a home-made item, but a Lefton or other well-known ceramics maker, but it is not marked. It features an unusual waffle bottom which is seen from the inside as well. The pretty pearl-like salmon pink high gloss interior is smooth. No cracks, chips, hairlines. I do find some very small glaze skips or pops along the very bottom edge that are not distracting and blown up in one of the photos for you to inspect. This fellow is marvelous and in a class of his own in the sea of typical covered ceramic turkey dishes. He will stand out and make a wonderful addition to your holiday ceramics collection!
