Description: I’m very excited to offer this incredible, restored c.1930’s flush mount fixture featuring an incredible skyscraper shade! WOW! This textbook art deco piece is in fantastic vintage condition with a nice original finish. I have not polished the metal, but it did get a gentle cleaning. There is some minor surface pitting in the original finish, but overall the chrome is in excellent shape for its age. The porcelain socket and wiring are new. The mounting bar and chrome mounting balls are new. The shade is magnificent! Wildly, impressively oversized, and featuring a series of tiered stair-steps, it REALLY stand out, lit or unlit. The glossy finish brightens the light when lit. The fitter has one pea sized stress crack, but is has not come through to the surface of the glass, and it is completely hidden once installed. The only other flaws of note are some embedded air bubbles and minuscule particulate matter leftover from the manufacturing process - this is how you know that the glass is old, and it adds to the charm of owning an antique. The fitter is 6 inches in diameter. This fixture measures 22 inches long and 6.5 inches in diameter at the canopy, with an overall diameter of approximately 9 inches. This piece will amply cover a modern junction box. Light bulbs are not included in the sale. Shipped via UPS Ground. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have before making a purchase.
