Description: This listing is for a vintage chrome ashtray which I think was an old time automotive accessory piece and not necessarily a factory part, although I have not found another one exactly like it. It's got a little sliding door on the top which works nice, and the housing can be clipped and unclipped from the base plate. The base plate looks like it'll mount to any flat, vertical surface, likely meant to go on a door panel. The chrome on the main body shows some wear and isn't show quality but it's not bad, the base plate looks like it originally had a chrome lip around the outer edge but that chrome is really poor. You could paint the base plate if you want to clean that up. A cool, period-correct accessory for an old car or truck. Not entirely sure when these were originally made but it looks like a 1940's or 1950's era thing to me. Overall diameter is 3 1/2 inches. Usually I can ship stuff out within a couple days, but once in a while the shop is busy and it'll take a bit longer.
