Waltham 11j Model 1884, Gr 12, c. 1890 Pocket Watch. Owned by Company K Private James Henry Harrison Brown born in 1841. He fought in and survived the Civil War 1861 to 1865. The Watch was finished and purchased by him between January and April 1890 and carried by him until his death around 1910 and went to his son and then his son's son and finally to the son holding the estate sale in tennessee. This Watch went through 4 generations of the brown family. James Brown was the Great Grandfather of the estate owner. I've owned it for several years. I've included more history info. And photos. The Watch is a must have for any Watch collector not only for its beauty but for its known documented history. I hate to part with it. Original Hand Painted dial has gold filigree strip Overlay and Ruby Jewel Stones at 5 min. Marks. Watch is is good condition, is running, but not checked for accurate time keeping.
