Description: A beautiful 1950s black what feels and looks like slubbed silk coat and metal zipper dress ensemble. 7/8 coat is fully lined in an off white or ivory taffeta-like fabric. Cute bow at the neck with a snap and hook and eye for closure. 3/4 length raglan sleeves on the coat. 2 pockets in the seams. Matching dress is fully lined with a black silky fabric. Beautiful "V" neckline. Cap sleeves. Pleats which travel up from the waist to give fullness to the bust line. Matching original thin belt with thread loops. Metal zipper in back. Slimming princess seams on the back of the dress. Small kickpleat in back. Vintage pinked seams. Belt measures 31" from end to end. Belt is a bit stiff but not unusual in a vintage garment and it is extremely rare to ever find the original belt with a dress. Vintage International Ladies Garment Workers Union inside the dress.
