The ricasso is clearly marked "STAINLESS STEEL JAPAN." The blade has been sharpened and shows signs of use but still retains most of it's original profile. The blade opens manually and locks into place securely though a modest amount of "play" can be detected. The plastic grips show light wear but are free of any marring or cracks.
