Description: This is a vintage 3 row diatonic button box accordion (Steirische Harmonika style) made in the United States, probably in the 1930s or 40s, but actual age is unknown. There are no markings on it that indicate a maker. It is in the keys of C,F,Bb with original 435 pitch tuning, so plays a little on the sharp side . . . closer to C#,F#,B about 40 cents flat. It plays and the reeds seem to be in good condition, but it is in need of some repair and tuning. Has a 2-reed MM configuration. It shows minor signs of wear with a beautiful light green celluloid exterior finish. Has a stepped keyboard with German fingering with the standing keys (gleichtons) in the 2nd & 3rd rows, but can be changed to Czech/Bohemian or Hohner style at no additional cost. Accidental notes can be added to the top of the keyboard like a Hohner (for an additional fee). Has 40 treble buttons (all functional), and 6 helikon basses, a leather bass strap, a palm air button (but can be changed to an thumb air bar for an additional fee). Has a wooden carrying case and shoulder straps in good condition. A sound sample and functional performance demonstration video can be provided upon request.
