Description: VINTAGE 1982 HELEN KING BOYER SHEPHERDS ON LEATHER. RARE! This offering is for one (1) vintage 1982 ”Shepherds” engraved on leather by Helen King Boyer. She was a friend of the family in Kansas City, Missouri and we received 2 engraving that she had done. This particular one is 8” tall and 14” wide. It is mounted on a wood board. Information concerning Helen King Boyer is attached to the back of the wood board. Helen King Boyer’s work is displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Georgetown University, the National Gallery of Art, Carnegie Museum of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She was born in Pennsylvania on 1919 and passed away in Kansas City, Missouri in 2012. She demonstrated slate drawings at the annual Gem and Mineral Show during her lifetime. It is in excellent condition and has been for years in a smoke-free environment.
