Description: In the early 1980s I started collecting movie posters and this has been with me ever since. I don't know how many apartments and houses it's been in, but at least I managed to keep it rolled and in good condition. The graphics and colors are still quite strong as you can see, and I think if it were framed it would look just fine. Its size is a standard one sheet 27" x 41". As mentioned above it does have some yellowing and minor foxing due to its age. The movie is "Rollerball" starring James Caan and it was released in 1975. A couple of things make this poster special--first it is rolled and has no creases or folds whatsoever. Secondly it has the "Now On Videocassette From Magnetic Video" byline which has a fascinating history that Wikipedia explains nicely. In 1977 Magnetic convinced 20th Century Fox to release 50 of their films on videocassette and this is probably one of those so it's a very early release into the about to explode video world. You can read the rest of their story on Wikipedia if you're interested. Ironically the movie takes place in that faraway year of 2018 and the villain is the corporate head of an energy company. Sounds like its crystal ball was hard at work and more than a bit prescient. Thanks for looking.
