Description: Vintage 1974 MXR Dyna-Comp Compressor with CA3080 Op Amp Description Vintage 1974 MXR Dyna-Comp Compressor with CA3080 Op Amp. This one has it all, the original op-amp, “tropical fish” capacitors, the pre-MXR stamp “Bud” box, wow. The overall condition is excellent and the pedal works and sounds great. We removed the inside top layer of foam, that was dried out, so the board was fully visible. This Dyna-Comp also has an interesting history. This box comes from one of the assistant engineers that worked on the David Bowie Young Americans album that was recorded at Sigma Sound in Phila. He worked with some of the musicians that played on the album that were trying to come up with some new and different sounds. At some point an assortment of pedals were brought in from the local music store and this Dyna was one of them. It’s not clear if it was ever used on any tracks. After the sessions ended anything that was left behind was given to the staff to experiment with. Sorry we don’t have any pictures to verify this account. Shipping We ship to the USA only.
