Vintage 1970s Underwood 319 Portable Manual Typewriter w/Case (NO Ribbon Cover)

Description: This vintage Underwood 319 portable manual typewriter comes in good to very good overall cosmetic condition, but is MISSING the ribbon cover panel, has minor handling wear and soiling the body (mostly on the outside of the lid and base, and light soiling from previous use and storage (see pictures).NOTE: The center holes on the installed ribbon are too small, so the mounting nuts are installed upside-down so that they can be used. The unit has been cleaned, lubricated, and tested. It is in solid working condition, with good action on all the keys and carriage movements, with a usable ribbon installed (additional ribbons available on eBay and elsewhere for about $10, be sure to select the proper ribbon). The unit dates to the 1970s. It has a sleek body style, molded in light tan, with white touch keys marked with black letters. It features a 12-pitch (Elite) type size.
