Description: This is a lightweight plastic bag, with a thick heavy yarn (?) cord to be used as a shoulder strap / drawstring. I'm not really sure if this was purchased as an inexpensive tote bag? Or if this was the bag a store used to put your just purchased merchandise inside of? It has western style graphics, showing cowboys and Native American Indians. Both sides are marked: "REMINISCENCE...NEW YORK CITY." There is no date, or other identifying marks on the bag. I don't know much about this, but I did a little "Internet sleuthing" and here's what I THINK: I believe that this is from a store in New York City called "Reminiscence." The store was opened in 1975 by Stewart Richer. It is STILL in business, and is currently located on 5th Ave. They sell vintage clothing, jewelry, accessories and an assortment of eclectic novelty items, both old & new. I believe that this bag is from their early days in business - back in the 1970's. When laid flat, the bag measures 19 & 1/2 inches long, by 15 & 3/4 inches wide. The plastic material is similar to a heavy garbage bag - perhaps a little thicker. The condition is GOOD. It has some paint wear & scuffs. It has a few pin holes here & there, but no tears or large holes. I did a LOT of looking around, and could not find another example of this bag. I doubt that you will ever see another. I may not be positive of it's origin - but I guarantee that it is DECADES old, or your money back. Will be loosely folded for shipping. I am here to help you with any questions!!!
