Vintage 1970s Oscar De La Renta Boutique Maroon Sequin Formal Gown Maxi Dress S

Description: This is an amazing and decadent maxi dress. Every square inch is covered in glossy metallic burgundy, flat round sequins in a weightless silk chiffon base. The body of the piece is lined in hand dyed matching fabric and the entire dress is shockingly lightweight. It snaps to close shirt dress style which also allows you to leave the skirt open or closed and control the amount of plunge! The original belt is missing. The waist nips in and the dress skims the body while the sequins make the entire thing glint and glimmer in the light. Terrific piece in excellent condition and well made as one would expect from Oscar de la Renta. Fully lined in a matching burgundy silky rayon. through the bodice and skirt. The sleeves are left unlined. Hand finished inside. There are a few missing sequins on the front right panel (see photo) but they could be replaced with ones from inside the hems. No discoloration or damage to the interior lining. Size 10. Measurements equate to a small.
