Vintage 1965 Seiko 6217-8000 Serviced 62MAS Rare JDM Divers Watch Original. First launched in 1965, the Seiko 62MAS was the brand’s original debut in the underwater world, and it served as the foundation for countless other Seiko dive watches that would be released during the years that followed. With its utilitarian appearance, highly legible dial, and clean case shape without crown guards, the Seiko Diver 62MAS embodies everything that we love about early dive watches. The example available here is in great condition, a must have for any serious collector. Made in April 1965, it shows signs of use and age especially on the bezel insert, but no abuse. The all original dial lume in amazing original condition. Fitted with new premium Uncle Seiko Tropic strap and fat spring bars. Just serviced and keeping very good time, quick set date also working perfectly. Case back and crown seals were replaced as part of the service but the Watch was not pressure tested, so not currently waterproof. At some point in its life this Watch has had the early small crown replaced with an original large crown from a 6217-8001.
