Description: Vintage 1965 Original Tressy Grow Hair Doll, with Original Box (Style 1203) Condition is Used - Very Good.This is the third version of Tressy: The New Tressy Hi-Fashion Cosmetic Doll - with the Magic make-up face, from 1965. All Tressy Dolls were created with a "Secret Strand": a section of hair that "grows" out of an opening in her head, and then use a special key to crank it back into her head for shorter hair (This Tressy has lost her key). She has a special coating on her face and blonde hair to allow the application and removal of her special make-up and hair color. (This Tressy no longer has her special make-up and hair color). She was made with new style posing legs (instead of the original "V" leg version of the doll). She comes dressed in her original red shift dress with white trim, white rope belt, white panties and white open toe shoes. Stock number # 1203 (this is the earlier 1203 version - the later version had bangs. This one does not have bangs).
