Description: 1965 Ludwig Pioneer 5x14 snare drum. Blue/silver ducco finish is original and it shows heavy patina and paint loss, with lacquer checking on all panels. Gorgeous un cleaned nickel hardware is in exceptional condition. Nickel over brass bottom rim, throw off, butt, and white felt baseball bat muffler. I haven’t tried to clean or polish this drum, it should clean up nice. Drum will come tuned and ready to play, a great vintage instrument with that authentic Ludwig sound. Excellent candidate for a re-finish, or wrap to match your kit, or ultimately add to a duco kit in similar vintage condition. Check my other items for more Ludwig. The parts are worth more than the price, with nearly 60 years of mojo, this one tells it’s own story, I won’t break it up.
