Description: This is a fabulous vintage swimsuit purchased at an estate sale in the Naples, FL area a few years back. I’m not sure of the exact age but it’s somewhere in the 1950s. It’s made of a silky lightweight polyester fabric and has an inner cotton type of lining, particularly well-made in the bodice area. The metal zipper is in fine working condition. There are two different button holes on each strap for a good fit. There is smocking as well but I am not going to test its elasticity. It’s a basic one piece construction with a faux wrap skirt and shorts design over a swimsuit, lending it almost playsuit appearance. Clearly, this lovely suit was quite well-made in its day, but there are hems and seams in need of repair. I tried to show this in my photos, so please look carefully. There is some fading in areas. There aren’t many stains that I noticed, but there are a few. Note the lining in panty area. Buttons for straps are still intact.
