About this Brooch: "This is a Vintage Warner of New York "Day to Night" mechanical brooch in textured gold tone metal. Signed. The leaf on the left side of the brooch moves back and forth to open and close the petals. Move the leaf clockwise and the flower closes for the night. Turn it back for day. These 1960's mechanical peony pins were made with and without rhinestones and in both gold and silver color. Joseph Warner started his company in 1953 and it produced jewelry under his direction until 1971. Warner is known for using high quality materials.
