Description: Vintage Northwest Orient Airlines Hand Lotion Pillows given as a promotional item on Northwest Orient flights in the 1950's. Northwest Airlines was a major United States airline founded in 1926 and eventually absorbed into Delta Airlines in 2010. Northwest was headquartered in Eagan,Minnesota near the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. In 1947, Northwest became the first commercial airline to fly the Great Circle Route over the PacificOcean to Japan, China, Korea, and the Philippines. It adopted the name "NORTHWEST ORIENT" for advertising purposes. The airline's Asian connections proveduseful in 1950 when the U.S. Government chose the airline for the Korean Air Life mission. Includes 4 hand lotion packets plus advertisement. Dated 1957 inside packet. Very nice condition - a small bend on front left bottom corner. Check pictures for complete condition.
