Description: This listing is for one (1) Vintage 1950s LOFTIES by Lawrence Wool Green Boucle Belted Sweater Set The set consistes of a sweater top, skirt and belt and is an iconic style and brand from the mid 1950s/1960s The set is made of 100% wool chenille and the light green (green mint color) fabric is a boucle knit The set is stretchy and form-fitted, not loose The seams are serged and intact The waistband is intact The set is well-fitted on a model that is 5' 5'' and weighs 118 lbs, and seems to be a size Small, probably a Size 8 The measurements are appoximately: The top is 20.5" from the center top to the bottom Armpit to armpit is 17" Side to side across the bottom front of the top is 13.5" From the shoulder to the bottom front is 19" The skirt from waist to hem is 30" Across the front at the hip the skirt is 18" Across the front at the waist is 13" The length of the belt is 29.5" The set is in very good shape! There are a few flaws, which are minor and commensurate with the vintage age of the set. All can most probably be easily fixed and are shown in pictures (usually at the gold end of the tape measure): * A very small, very light brownish stain about six inches out from the side seam* Two small holes at the bottom of the top on the back side, about an inch apart* A very tiny brownish stain on the edge of the front neckline* The loose-stitch decorative trim has a fingernail-sized hole on the back of the top, a little below the shoulder line* The set has been drawer-stored for decades and as a result has some wrinkles (that can be removed) This sweater dress is uncleaned and has not been repaired and the stains may come out when the item is cleaned The dress has been drawer-stored for decades, in a dry, smoke and pet/pest free home See pictures for details of actual item being sold
